Ordering

1. Does Tekarbon accept email or phone order?

You can place order via following methods:

Order by Website
Simply click on the "Add to Cart" button to add your items to the shopping cart and complete your order online. If you want to expedite your order processing, online order is highly recommended.

Order by Email
To order by email, you can email to sales@tekarbon.com with your order information or any questions you may have regarding to you order. Please include the following information in your email order question:

  • Items you wish to purchase (include product name and model number)
  • Your bike model and year
  • Your contact information (include first name, last name, email address, phone number, billing/shipping address)
  • Special instruction such as shipping method, special delivery instruction (optional)

2. What if the item I want is out of stock, can I still purchase it?

Yes you can pre-order items that are out of stock at the time of purchase. This will also reserve the item prior its arrival.

Pre-ordered items are guaranteed to be get in stock within 4-7 business weeks, unless notify, and will be shipped to you immediately upon its arrival at our warehouse. If the out of stock items are not pre-ordered, the waiting time cannot be guaranteed.

3. I live outside the United States, can I still place order?

Yes, Tekarbon is proud to ship internationally. If you are located outside the United States, you can still complete your purchase on our website. Shipping charges will be automatically calculated based on the shipping address with available mailing service. However, Tekarbon is not responsible for any tax and duty charges that may be involved.

4. Is my order being processed?

A confirmation of your order will be emailed to only if you ordered is received. If you do not receive any confirmation from Tekarbon's at the email address you provided, please complete your order online or email us at sales@tekarbon.com.

If you receive your order confirmation, your order will be processed within 3-4 business days.

5. What if I need my order immediately?

You can request our priority handling service for USD$20.00 that your order will be shipped out within 48 hours of order placement. Orders placed on weekend will be processed within 48 hours on the following business day. Please note, priority handling only guarantee your order will be processed faster than normal processing time, the final arrival time also depends on the mailing service selected.

Express mailing service is also available at the checkout process if you would like to receive your order sooner.

6. I need to cancel my order, what should I do?

Once your order is being shipped out, no changes can be made. Any cancellation will be treated as a return request in which a restocking fee of 20% will be charged and expended shipping cost will not be refunded.

If you would like to cancel order or remove the out of stock item during the processing time, please contact our sales representative by either emailing to sales@tekarbon.com or reaching us at (323) 825-1835.

No cancellation or changes can be made to special orders. Special orders include discounted orders from direct purchase, parts that are not normally carried in our stocking inventory and website.

7. Why am I not getting a response from Tekarbon? What is the fastest way to get a response?

Email inquiries normally will be responded within 24-48 hours. Our business hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm PST. If your inquiry falls on a holiday, we will be able to answer your request on the next business day. Phone inquiries will be returned within 24-36 hours. It is highly recommended to contact us by email, clearly stating your questions with detail information such as order number, bike model and year, part number being inquired about etc for better assistance.

8. What is your return policy?

Discounted and special orders and all electrical orders (i.e headlights, bulbs etc.) are NOT returnable or exchangeable. Store credit and exchange are available. Please review our complete return policy for details.

9. The part I want is in 1x1 plain weave (or 2x2 twill weave) but I want 2x2 twill weave (or 1x1 plain weave), can I place an order for a different weave?

Tekarbon is proud to offer custom order for different weave pattern (plain or twill) or finishing (matte or glossy) at no additional charge. However special production take approximately 4-7 business weeks. If you would like to have your parts or specific parts to be made in the weave pattern that is not available, simply send in your request in the instruction box during checkout. Special production will be arranged upon payment receipt.

Please note custom order cannot be cancelled or refunded. If you decide to return the item for any reason, store credit will be available.

10. I want the part to be in matte finish, but it is only available in glossy finish on the website. Can I order a matte finish?

Tekarbon is proud to offer custom order for different weave pattern (plain or twill) or finishing (matte or glossy) at no additional charge. However special production take approximately 4-7 business weeks. If you would like to have your parts or specific parts to be made in the weave pattern that is not available, simply send in your request in the instruction box during checkout. Special production will be arranged upon payment receipt.

Payment

1. What payment options are available?

Your order can be paid by major credit cards and PayPal account. Tekarbon offers wire transfer for International buyers who do not have international credit card and PayPal account. Please contact our sales representative by sales@tekarbon.com for detail wiring information.

2. Can I pay by credit card?

Tekarbon accept credit cards include Visa, Master, Discover and American Express. At the point of checkout, you will be given options to pay by credit card (no PayPal account is required) or PayPal account.

3. Does Tekarbon accept wire transfer?

International buyers can process their orders through wire transfer. This option is only available for international orders over USD$500.00. Please contact us at sales@tekarbon.com for detail information. Keep in mind wire transfer will delay order processing time. Orders being paid on website (via PayPal or Credit Card) will be shipped in 3-4 business days while orders with wire transfer will NOT be processed until payment is received, usually takes additional 3-4 business days. Customers is responsible for the incoming wire fee of USD$30.00.

Shipping

1. When will my order be shipped out?

Regular order will be shipped out within 3-5 business days once payment is received. Large order of over five items may take up to 7 business days to process before being shipped out.

Special orders and orders with out of stock items will be shipped out within 4-7 business weeks. TEKARBON will do its best to shorten the production and get the order shipped out as soon as the items are arrived at our facility.

2. Can I use my own carrier account to ship my order?

Yes, you are allowed to use your own carrier account include FedEx and UPS account to ship your order. You will need to provide your shipping service provider and its account number in the comment box when your order is placed. While a handling fee of $2.00 will be charged, simply choose the "Pick Up" shipping option at the time of checkout.

3. I have the tracking number, but why there is no update on it?

Tracking information is provided once your order is shipped out. Please allow 24-48 hours for the information to be updated in the carrier system. Some shipping services, including First Class Mail and Parcel Post, provide limited tracking information until package is delivered.

International Order: Please be noted First Class International Mail, being the most economic shipping service, has limited tracking information and delivery time varies by destination. Delivery status of Priority and Express International Mail will be updated only when the package is scanned at the time of departure and arrival at the airport. No delivery update will be available during the time of transit.

4. Why my package is not deliver on time?

Most carrier including USPS and FedEx do not guarantee delivery time. The estimated delivery time displayed at the time of checkout may be varied by local weather and traffic condition, carrier delivery schedule and other possibilities. Tekarbon has no control over the delivery status once package is shipped out. For detail information, please contact your local post office or FedEx office in regards to the delay of the delivery.

5. Why I still haven't received my package?

Domestic orders should be delivered within the estimated time frame. Tracking information usually provides the expected delivery date. However, local weather condition may delay the delivery. If you do not receive your package after 10 business days tracking information is received, please contact your local post office or FedEx office directly for assistance.

International Order: International delivery time is based on the mailing service chosen at the time of purchase. Below is the standard delivery time frame for reference,

  • Express International Mail: approximately 3-5 business
  • Priority International Mail: approximately 6-10 business days
  • First Class International Mail: takes up to 30-60 days delivery, varies by location

    By choosing First Class International mail, the most economic shipping service, customer is acknowledged of the delivery time and Tekarbon will not be responsible for the loss of package.

  • Installation

    1. Do the items I ordered come with screws and hardware?

    Particular parts such as tank pads and direct covers do come with double-sided tape. Unless it is mentioned in the product description, hardwares and mounting brackets will NOT be included.

    2. Can I install the parts myself?

    Absolutely! Tekarbon strives to manufacture replacement for your stock fairings and parts. It is recommended to have a professional bodyshop with carbon fiber experience to do the installation if you have no previous experience in modifying motorcycles. If you plan to install the parts yourself, here is a general list of handy tools you should have for the installation.

    • A dremel
    • Screw driver
    • Drill
    • Bike stands
    • 3M double lock
    • Heat resistant adhesive
    • Heat insulation
    • Fasteners and washers (used to attach bodywork together)
    • A handy buddy to work together

    Tekarbon has evaluated and assigned different installation difficulty levels to each of our part. Please refer to the "Ease of Installation" under each product description and read the details carefully before deciding whether or not to install the part on your own.

    3. Are the carbon fiber parts perfect fit to my bike?

    Tekarbon dedicates to provide direct replacement for your stock fairings. Some of the parts can be directly bolted on while some may require purchase the complete section from Tekarbon to fit properly.

    Since carbon fiber material is different from ABS plastic, minor modifications may be necessary during installation, especially the racing styles which does not come with pre-cut holes for headlights.

    Please keep in mind, due to materials being made with in carbon fiber and glossy coating, NO aftermarket part, even from other manufacture, should be guaranteed perfect fitment.

    4. What kind of threading is the fastener?

    Tekarbon only use metric threading in our products. Do NOT attempt to use coarse treading screws during installation. Tekarbon is not responsible for any damage from faulty installation.
